Episode 122: Expensive Spaghetti and Casual Infidelity (ft. Kelsey Lewin)

April showers have brought May flowers and as winter transitions to spring, we here at DT!HQ are looking for something seasonal to celebrate! Unfortunately, we've already passed the Q1 holidays. So, in an effort to save this loosely constructed episode topic, we reached back into our collective high school trauma and decided to do a Prom Episode! Now, when I think of Prom, the first video game I think of is 1987's Punch-Out!! That's why this week we're asking the question, "Which Punch-Out!! Boxer would you take to prom?"

Andrew ventured to the Great White North in search of a date and a gallon of maple syrup. Kyle is making an enterance with the power of dance and white liesure suits. Todd is actually still banned from DT!HQ Prom, so we invited a new friend to our Prom Group. Welcome, from the school district across the county (and also the Video Game History Foundation,) Kelsey Lewin to our fancy dinner reservation!

Episode 121: Lyndon B. Come Johnson (ft. Eric Silver)

Six months ago, we dreamt up some new edutainment games. Well it went so well that we decided to do it again! This time, we wanted to change it up a bit. Instead of turning an existing game into an edutainment game, this week we attempt to turn existing historical events into playable video games! We even invited a guest this time!

Kyle is here to talk about everyone's favorite nexus point, and also put us all on a list. Todd rehashes a tumblr post that we promise you've seen at least twice. Andrew embarks on the journey that is presidential scandals, but no, not THAT one. And finally, our very good friend Eric Silver from Multitude Podcasting is here mostly to talk about Midnight in Paris.

Episode 120: His Eyes: They Shooty

We here at DT!HQ have certainly hit our stride when it comes to remakes of cable television shows. We've talked about Cribs, Forged in Fire, Forged in Fire again, Celebrity Rehab and a number of other gems of the 2000s. Today we're running it back and dipping a toe into the Reality TV Universe (RTVU). It is our mission today to use the path laid by the RTVU to guide the future of the MCU. So with that in mind, today we're asking, "what would be the best reality show to remake starring the X-Men?"

It's honestly a little disturbing how much we knew about reality TV. Matt flexes his knowledge with a deep cut WB show. Andrew scopes in on the personality of late 90s Nickelodeon Teens. Todd completes the infernal contract we must sign to talk about reality television as he invokes the name of the Bachelor(ette).

FLAVOR TEXT: Gilmore Girls

Welcome, stranger! You've driven a long way from The Big City, so why not park that fancy car over there and take a load off here at the diner. Which diner, you say? Why, the only one in town! What's that? You don't want to leave your car in the middle of the street? No worries there, stranger! We here at Stars Hollow have evolved past the need of paltry things like cars, or retail chains, or global economies. So, sit back, relax, grab a knitting needle for the annual Knit-a-Thon, and listen to the DT! boys break down the 8 seasons of love and laughter that is Gilmore Girls.

Episode 119: We Bongo On (LIVE! at the Midwest Gaming Classic)

On the day of our non-denominational Lord, April 1st, 2023, 3 nerds were given a platform. A platform, not just on the internet, but in a real life place in front of real life people at the Midwestern Gaming Classic in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This is that podcast.

Matt hosted a one-on-one debate between Todd and Andrew to determine which classic GameCube game should be remastered in 2023. The answer involved more primates than you could possibly imagine.

Episode 118: Mob Job Bob's Gobs of Kebabs

DT!HQ takes a firm stance against gatekeeping. Whether your favorite games are on a console, a PC, or a mobile device, we consider you a gamer and you are valid. Unless, of course, you're one of the perverts still playing Facebook games in 2023. If you aren't keeping up with the news out of the Meta-camp, the Metaverse isn't exactly headed to the moon. Well luckily for old Zucks, the execs called us in to help revitalize that smooth VR hellscape. Today, we're gathered around the proverbial Round Table to decide which Facebook game would be the best to integrate into the Metaverse.

You're going to hear about a lot of games today, most of them you'll at least remember hearing about. Matt's answer is not one of those games. Todd and Kyle, on the other hand, went with games that you'll be much more familiar with. Or you will be, if you're into match three and idle games.

Episode 117: With Apologies to Cousin Rod, Esq.

There is truly no spin-off too obscure for us to turn into a DT! Episode. And, when a spin-off begins to pick up speed on a major streaming service, it is our job, nay, our duty, to turn it into a silly podcast about comics or video games. So, it should be no surprise to you, a listener of culture, that we're persenting to you today, an episode based on Netflix mega-hit, FiF:KoD! Oh, that's Forged in Fire: Knife or Death for you uncultured dweebs. This week we seek to discover which comic book weapon would perform the best in a History Channel Knife Sports show.

If you came here for Norse Mythology, Andrew has something special for you. Someone had to talk about a DC property, so we left that for Kyle. Todd's answer has the emphasis on the wrong syllable. Also, WWE's Bill Goldberg is here!

Episode 116: A Cloaca is A Cloaca (ft. Jennasis)

Happy Valentine's Day freaks! Look, I'm just going to say it up front, this is the horniest episode we've released in approximately 47 episodes. If you're not cool with that, then get out now. But if you are cool with that, my co-hosts and I saw you from across the bar and we really dig your vibe. It's all love here folks, and to prove it, we're crafting some new love interests. Today's debate asks which video game boss encounter would make the best romance option. The answer, as always, may surprise you.

It's one of those episodes where Andrew boils the noun soup that is Final Fantasy. Kyle talks about forbidden love and Matt says the word "goo" a lot. Obviously, the DT! boys aren't exactly kings of romance, so we called in a ringer this week. Jennasis from the Two Girls, One Ship Podcast answered the call and we're sure glad she did!
