You walk into the gymnasium to find a Moroccan street market of books and other brightly colored school supplies. One jewel in particular has caught your eye this month. You see a cover sporting some choice computer-illustrated animation (like in Beast Wars but even cooler) but of a boy your age transforming into a lizard!
Welcome to Animorphs, the mid-90s YA novel series about identity disorder, loss, clinical depression, and PTSD...all centered on a group of shape-shifting teens fighting a secret proxy war against invading alien parasites.

Today, we're going to take some time to talk about what we know so far and where we think some of these franchises are headed.

With DC's Birds of Prey And Then Harley Quinn Is Here Too hitting the Box Office this month with the sound of a thousand missed opportunities, we thought it would be a good time to reflect on the history of the series. And by that, we mean 2002's cancelled The WB drama, "Birds of Prey." And by that, we mean actually just pitch adaptations of other, better franchises to get their own sexy teen prime time drama. How about Dexter's Lab, but in high school? Or Power Rangers living in an apocalyptic world? And who doesn't want a healthy dose of marital infidelity with The Flintstones?
